Contributors to the development of Early Childhood Education
There is a broad umbrella of organizations that support the Early Childhood Educational development but I will be zooming in on 2 Local Organizations and 2 International Organizations that are truely making their mark through their kind gestures. They are as follows;
Local Organizations-
1. Barita Foundation- This entity is a charitable organization that aims at developing literacy and numeracy at the Early Childhood level in the most vulnerable communities of Jamaica. This is achieved through the development of two year programmes that incorporates teachers, parents and the integrated agendas in an effort to promote the educating and inspiring of our children in partnered institutions.
2. Kingston Restoration Foundation-
The main objection of this entity is to develop a group of educated, disciplined and committed youths who will begin to build the foundation of regenerated down town communities. It intends to achieve this goal by developing a series of projects that incorporates children between the ages of 3-6 years old. This will aid in improving teaching and learning experiences.
International Organizations
1.National Black Child Development Institute- Their vision is to improve and create the advancement of black children and their families through their advocacy, education and outreach programs.They are a contributing and valued member of several childhood coalitions at the national level.
2. National Association for Family Childcare- Their main focus is to solely promote a high quality childcare and education opportunity in home based settings. They aim to provide technical assistance to families, childcare providers and associations by developing leadership, addressing issues of diversity and promoting quality and professionalism.
We thank the kind gestures of these organizations as well as the others that weren't mentioned in this blog. Do continue to contribute to the Early Childhood Educational Development, as what you are doing is building a strong foundation for a lifelong learning experience for our children.
